Sarah Fischer serves as an Accessibility Coordinator within Disability Resources and Services at the University of Pittsburgh. In this role, she works with University faculty and staff under to scope of the ADA and PWFA to identify reasonable accommodations to address workplace barriers and create a more accessible campus environment.
Sarah has dedicated her professional career to helping create a more inclusive, accessible, and equitable workspace and community for individuals with disabilities. For over 15 years she has both worked and volunteered with various programs within this space to help further this mission.
In addition to her role navigating workplace accommodations, Sarah also provides various campus and community trainings geared towards education and advocacy related to disability, inclusivity, and accessibility. These trainings include topics such as preparing students with disabilities for entering the workforce, creating a more inclusive environment, and general overviews to help strengthen understanding of disability and the ADA.
