Jason (Jay) Togyer returned to the University of Pittsburgh in 2022 from Mon Valley Initiative, where he worked for more than six years as manager of communications. They previously worked for the University of Pittsburgh as associate editor of Pitt Magazine, senior editor of Pitt Med Magazine, and senior web content editor before becoming assistant director of communications for Carnegie Mellon University’s School of Computer Science, where they were editor of The Link Magazine.
They and their spouse reside in the Mon Valley, where Jay serves as volunteer executive director of a community journalism website called Tube City Community Media Inc., chair of the McKees Point Development Group, a board member of WRCT Radio Inc., and a director of the G.C. Murphy Co. Foundation and the McKeesport Regional History & Heritage Center.
