Chad Jurica Ed.D.

Chad Jurica, Ed.D., serves as an Accessibility Coordinator at the University of Pittsburgh, where he works closely with students, faculty, and campus partners to advance equitable access and cultivate inclusive learning environments. With nearly three decades in higher education and student services, Chad has built his career around advocacy, collaboration, and ensuring students feel supported, understood, and empowered to succeed.

He earned his Doctorate in Education with a concentration in Higher Education Leadership, grounding his work in both research and real-world practice. At the heart of his professional philosophy is a simple belief: when students are provided access, encouragement, and meaningful support systems, they are positioned to reach their full potential. Helping students navigate barriers, recognize their strengths, and achieve their academic and personal goals continues to be the most rewarding part of his work.

Outside of the office, Chad is a devoted summer enthusiast who feels most at home near the water. Whether kayaking, spending long days on a boat, relaxing by the lake, or gathering around a campfire, he values the slower pace and connection that summer brings. Above all, he treasures time with friends and family and with his loyal companion, Maximus Aurelius (Max for short), a 13-year-old German Shepherd/Black Lab mix who has been faithfully by his side through many seasons of life.
