Ramadan begins at sunset Feb. 17 and continues until Eid al-Fitr on March 19. This is the ninth and holiest month of the Islamic calendar, observed by Muslims around the world as 30-day period of fasting, prayer and reflection.
Faith Resources
The Islamic Center of Pittsburgh posts a prayer schedule each day. The center, located at 4100 Bigelow Blvd. next to the Pittsburgh campus, offers daily events and a list of resources on its website.
